Galatea Associates is a unique place to work. We are not a large, inflexible corporation, nor are we a tiny start-up, scrambling for cash and recognition. We are a small, focused, well-funded, and well-respected company with a twelve-year track record of success building and implementing complex financial securities systems.

We promote a friendly atmosphere. Our flat organizational structure promotes friendship and easy discourse. Most meetings are informal gatherings around a cubicle, or in our lounge area. The entire company breaks weekly to eat lunch together. People here socialize both in and out of work. We have frequent company outings both planned and unplanned. Sometimes it's candlepin bowling or an after-work gathering at a local pub.

We maintain an open work environment at our office in Davis Square (located on the Red Line) in Somerville, MA. Dress is casual and work hours are flexible since we place emphasis on the results of each person's work, we are not overly concerned with people adhering to a strict work schedule.

Ultimately, Galatea's most important asset is its people. As such, training is a crucial element in our business strategy. New employees spend their first few weeks learning about the securities industry in general and their project's business and technical environment in particular. This is done in an informal setting: each new employee is teamed with a mentor, a senior member of the firm who assists with their transition and helps ensure their success at Galatea. This relationship helps individuals share their skills and experience, which fosters growth and supports the long-term success of the company.
